Gang Scrap started as a spinoff of the internet meme "gang weed". Where users posted intentionally cringeworthy and badly spelled edgy captions over images of the Joker. Usually involving ironic "deep" messages that showed why society was unfair. Soon thousands of other "gang" topics sprung up as spinoffs, one of which was Gang Scrap.

Gang Scrap revolved around memes of scrap metal "collecting". But over time, the founders of the page realized the potential of this. It became a network, then multiple collectives, and in a shockingly short amount of time, it became a worldwide, albiet now loosely tied organization. Due to how difficult it was for us to control such a large amount of factions there was. it has now become a movement. Whether you are apart of an official organization or not, anybody can now call themselves a part of gang scrap... It's not about the money (Maybe it is a little) but its about sending a message. The message? You can live your life in todays world without following the rules put in place to keep us down. Gang scrapping cannot be controlled. There are too many of us now...
